I have been in Friday mode since Monday afternoon, well make it Monday morning. And it hasn't just been me, it has been the whole office. The CEO was out of the office Monday and Tuesday, so that wasn't much of a help. Then there was Wednesday, and on Wednesday everyone was looking forward to today (Thursday) because we had a happy hour beginning at 4:30. When you know you are getting beer, at work, at 4:30 - who can think about work. NOT ME! So there went Wednesday. Then there was today, Thursday, and that brings me back to the beer statement. Now today's happy hour was thrown by the technology division, and my division (the security division) is throwing the next happy hour one May5th, Cinco de Mayo!!! So tomorrow my boss it having a Top Secret meeting on our happy hour. Today there were games, it was a Russian theme - which ment vodka shots (I passed, not a vodka fan), and really good food. So ours will be a Mexican theme (hello! Cinco de Mayo, keep up here!), and we are thinking sombraro's, sunglasses, mustaches, and margarita's baby! Oh yea, it will be the BEST! We might even throw in a pinata! Well I am off to get ready for Friday - only the best day of the week. This takes lots of preparation - I need to start my relaxation process, get ready for the weekend. As you can tell, it was a pretty stressful week.
Oh, I stole once fleece - two to go! Oh yea fleece boy - IT'S ON!

The Mikes Meet
On Friday, I introduced Mike to Mike and Kellie. Yea, that was pretty strange Mike and Kelly eating dinner with Mike and Kellie. It was safe to say no one forgot names. My Friends, Mike and Kellie are like family to me and Mike (friend) was wanting to meet Mike, so I arranged a dinner. We went to Champs (I love their queso fries, very yummy). The night went well. It's safe to say, they got along.
In case my possie is wondering, I have not gotten my fleece back. I go over to steel them back, and Mike sees it coming, and beats me to the punch.
And I have learned something new. I am AMAZING at bowling. Oh yea baby - I ROCK! I am suprised people aren't knocking down my door as we speak asking me to join their teams. We bowled 4 games last night after Mike's league finished. My average of the games was about a 70. Oh yea! I think I need to try out for bumper bowling! Mike gave me like three pointers to bowl better - and three was just too many for one night. But let me tell you, if you need someone to throw a gutter ball - I'm your girl! Just call the Twigser and I'll come a runnin!

Fleece Thief
Have you ever had a fleece that you really liked? Yea, me too. But then you let some shmuck borrow it, becuase you are being that nice person that you are, and then they take it. They automatically think it is theirs to keep! HELLO - I WANT MY BLACK AND BLUE FLEECES BACK THANK YOU! And if you don't return them, I am so sending my possie out to haunt you! Oh yea, that means Red, Blue, Trent, and Styles (my bad ass friends) will be after your butt! Yea, whos shakin now!
So yea, the Twigster is doin good. Kinda tired, but pretty wired. I had dinner with 2500 of my closest friends tonight. Okay, well maybe it was my boss and some congressmen and legistlature's and cheif firefighter's from all over. Interesting night. Learned lots - and I got a really neat bobble head. Oh, I also found a new type of wine I like, and when I think of the name I will share it with you. If I don't, your loss cos it was really good!
Well I am off to bed. To bed to bed they said! And to the fleece theaf - I'M WATCHING YOU!

So I got stood up
So I been thinking...again. Still a dangerous past-time, I know! So I got stood up. But I lived and I moved on. When my aunt and uncle were in town, I met this guy mike. I like to see how many mike's I can meet to drive people crazy! I hung out with him and his friends a couple times. Then he took me to dinner and a movie. Oceans 12 - I was really tired since the movie started at 9:45. So I put all my effort into staying awake I can't even tell you what the movie was about. Anywho - anyone know if it was good? Then he was away for the weekend, so I hung out with Wegmans friends - that was fun. And then my phone rang tonight - it was him. He was driving home and wanted to know if I wanted to meet him down the street from me where he is in a league. I laughed, then said okay.
So all in all - even though I worked this weekend, I had a pretty good one. I hope you all did as well. Especially sean, since it was his birthday!

Have you ever googled yourself?? I hung out with this guy and he had googled my dad - and it was amazing how much he found. I thought about it for a while, and then I thought that can be pretty scary. So I get to work the next morning, boot my computer and decided to google myself. Not much, basically the only stuff on me is because of the job I have now. So then I googled this guy, my dad, my old boss...not finding too much - but it is kinda fun.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEAN! How does it feel to be getting older? Do you feel old yet? There are days when I certainly do.
Well I am off - work to be done. And it is majorly thundering - i HATE thunder!

Movie Night with Mike and Marty
So I decided to treat Mike and Marty to a wonderful movie on Easter. What movie do I choose you ask - only the best around. You guessed it! Napoleon Dynamite! Marty did not seem to appreciate my attempt to introduce her to the wonderful world of amazing films. Let me just tell you, she got off the couch and started to alphabetize her CD collection. Mike, on the other hand, was laughing at the same scenes I was laughing at. He can appreciate a good flick when he is presented with one. New terminology has entered his already vast vocabulary with words suck as idoit! and ahhhhhh!. These are words that improve your everyday vocabulary - and Marty will just be stuck in the past. It is a sad though, I know. Next movie on the list - Dodgeball!

Poop
I am sleep deprived. But that is okay, I hope you all slept well last night ya jerks! I am ready for weekend, although my boss is back today - that is a good thing. Yesterday everyone was all crankey, it was rainy and poopie outside, so that didn't help the attitudes at work. I was pretty crankey too, so I can't say I was any better.
I have been up since 2:30 and the only productive thing I have done is shower, and that was about three hours ago. I have to leave for work in about 20 min, and I still have to get dress, do the hair and of course paint my face on. Now if I had Napolean Dynamite I would have slept like a baby.
Oh yea. I got a 1 am phone call from some good friends of mine. They called to give me a bad ass name. I got this call from Red, Blue, Trent, and Styles - I mean, who else would call at 1 am! So my bad ass name is Twiggy. Not Farty McBlow, or tons of fun, no sir! It's Twiggy. So if you ever catch me referring to myself as Twiggy, it is because at that time I am speaking of I was a bad ass!
Well I best go make myself look AWAKE.
PEACE OUT.

SU
I am very upset with how SU played last night - who, in thier right mind, loses to Vermont? Seriously - horrible. But I will have to say, the last part of the 2nd half and overtime was fun to watch. Especially since my neighbor was rooting for Vermont and me SU. Fun night!
In case you are wondering, I am really into this years NCAA tournament. I joined in the pool at work, only becuase our CEO gave a 10 minute speach on how he hopes everyone joins in on the fun, then threw a happy hour party to help us get into it. So I did. I put in my $5 and picked my teams, and here I go. So far, I like!
We need a color change...
Okay, well I think I might go be a bum and eat or do some work. Another weekend - I still need to get used to having weekends off. I feel like I have to do something really exciting, so when I go back to work on Monday, and co-workers ask what I did I can wow them. Last week, all I could say was nothing and laundry. This weekend - I am doing the laundry thing again. I need to get a life! Well off I go to get some grub!

THANK YA-WAY IT'S FRIDAY!
Good morning! I am trying to be cheery (hense, the color), but really, I am exhausted. On wednesday, I left work at 7 to come home and see that "the boy" parked in my spot. I laughed sooo hard, then put my war face on. I walked straight to his door (which is, what, two steps across from mine - real far walk huh!) and knocked. I didn't go change first - oh no sir, he brought it, so I was going to bring it right back baby! He answered the door and laughed, me - no laughter. I told him some jerk parked in my spot and that jerk was getting towed! Then I changed and went to his place for beers. (Yes, I even took beer with me, can't be rude now) Ya wanna know the best part of that night!?!?! Do ya, do ya?! Oh yea baby, he gave me scrubs in my size!!! And of course I had to put them on right away! I came out of the bathroom saying: oh yea! Who's the doctor now?! (answer: me!) :o)
Yesterday was NYC. It was a long day. I had to leave for the airport at 5:30 in the morning, and I didn't get home until 10:30 last night. Long day for a two hour meeting. But it went great. Waking up this morning was just not easy to do.
Well I am off to work. Need to beat Michael there to get some stuff done before he pulls me in his office for the day. And since we havn't really talked in a week, I will really be in there the WHOLE day. But he cracks me up, so I don't mind!
Happy Friday All!

Inside my head
So many things are running around in there, in my head that is. First, the boy. Does he like me? How do I know?? He is a really neat guy - but how do I know?? Do I knock on his door, or do I wait for him to knock on mine?? THESE ARE THE REASONS I HATE DATING. Second, I was invited to a friends house for a beer, do I go? I have work I should/could do, but I would like to go. I could do the reading tomorrow night, or Thursday - if you knew my flight schedule, you would know I have PLENTY of time Thursday. I would like to see my friends, but I would also like to make sure I am rested for work, it is only my third week there. Back to the boy. HELLO! What do I do?? Most of you out there are boys that I talk to, so you tell me. SD, WH, TR, and K - I'm waiting. okay, still waiting. And mike told me it was okay to like somebody - what a poop he is. It's all his fault, and I told him that yesterday. And you know what he did, he laughed. He thinks its funny that I don't know what to do. He said if was funny/cute. YEA - not to me.
OH, wanna hear something else. I'M FAT. I had to call in my measurements to order a bridesmaid dress. The lady I was dealing with told me I needed a size 10! I was furious. I have never been told I needed a size 10 dress before. I like my size 2 thank you very much. The rest of the day it just bothered me. How in the world do you go from a size 2 to a size 10. I talked the lady down to a size 6, and that is what I ordered. It will still be way to big, but hey, it beats a 10. Man, what is the world coming to!
Well I am off to wait for you guys to answer. YOU BEST HURRY, I CAN ONLY BE SO PATIENT!

2nd "date" (if it is called that)
Okay, first I am liking this whole color thing I have going on. It is like writing with crayons!
Lets go back, Thursday. We (my neighbor and I) went to Sweet Water for dinner. (Sweet Water is the BEST restaurant EVER) That consisted of good converstaion. Favorite Movie: Braveheart, Favorite Color: Blue, Favorite Disney Movie: Beauty and the Beast. Talked about high school, college and even the challenging topic of religion. This time - not challeging at all. We spoke about mission trips, and where he goes. Lets see what else, we ate lots - filat mignon for me/ribeye for him! After dinner, we drove back home and walked to our doors, I said my thank you very much and he said he would see me on saturday. I smiled and said sounds great.
Okay, now lets go to Saturday. I went to work in the morning then became a bum in the afternoon. My cell rang around 5 and it was him. He asked if I wanted to go to a movie and then dinner. I thought and I thought - do I really want to go to another dinner and a movie with a super nice guy? I forced myself to say yes, and he said 6:45 was the meeting time. So at 6:45 I walked out my door took two steps forward and knocked on his (I thought I would pick him up this time - he mentioned he wanted to show me the curtains his mom made him). I saw the curtains, very nice - props to his mom!, and off to the movie we went. We say Hitch, very good flick. A must see in my books! After the movie, we went to the Olive Garden. YUMMY! He didn't pull a Sean and get meatballs, but I had a good time anywho. We talked about embarrassing moments, favorite youth group event, friends, and the people around us. Then came the part of the evening I hate. The walking to our doors, and what do you do. He told me what time church was, and what time we have to leave by. Then what, do I hug him? what? I said my thank you's and so did he. (I bought the beer at the bar while we were waiting for a table, and the popcorn and soda) Then we stood there for a second and then both turned toward our doors and said goodnight - sleep tight kinda thing. I am way to nervous - I am still the bumbling idiot around him. He is so very kind, and funny - I don't want to say anything wrong. AH
Willy - thank you for taking my phone call. I miss not having you around to depend on (in person). It makes me feel better when another guy approves of what I am wearing. And you have good taste - so I trust you.
Gotta bounce - I have to shower and get ready for church - peace out!

Blog-A-Thon
Heres how it works. I read Kyle's blog with his entry concerning this Blog-A-Thon, then I said hey 'interview me'. So now he has sent a couple questions of his creation for me to answer here. So here are the rules if you care to play along:
1. Leave Me a comment saying “interview me”
2. I’ll respond by asking you five questions in the same row of comments you wrote in or on your blog. They’ll be different for each person I interview and from the questions that were asked me.
3. Update your blog/site with the answers to the questions (and the questions themselves)
4. Include an explanation like this and don’t leave anything out but it doesn’t have to be the same shpiel. Is shpeil spelled right?
5. Give other people interviews when they leave you “interview me” notes.
Here are the answes and the questions the kyle asked of me:
1>If you were Wilie Coyote, how would you finally catch the roadrunner, and how would you prepare it for dinner?
To catch the roadrunner, I had to come up with a strategic plan, and luckely, I am GREAT at those! (My crayons and coloring books work wonders that way.) Since you want to know SO badly how I caught the poor guy, I will tell you. I met up with my good friend Harry, Harry Potter that is, and we got chatting. You know how that goes, you say hello to a friend and three hours later you are having your third beer comparing stories. Then he mentioned his invisible cloak - and it hit me! Since Harry and I are great friends, especially after three beers, he let me borrow the cloak. I wrapped that wonderful material around me and walked right up to roadrunner, grabbed his neck and hit him in the head with a brick. I tied roadrunner to a log, then off I went to return what I borrowed and said my thank you's. I couldn't wait to get back to my dinner though. That night, instead of my normal pig roast, I had my roadrunner roast - and I have to say, it was mighty tasty. A must have in my books!
2>Pick a mutant ability from a Marvel movie(XMen, Spiderman, etc.), and how would you use that gift to save ants from becomming an endagered speices?
To help save the ants, I would have to use Wolverine's power. (Just because he is my favorite, even though I don't know how to spell his name!) With the claws that come out of my hands, I would be able to kill off all the animals trying to hurts those lovely creatures. And I would sing a song as I watched those hard working ants dig those tunnels: "The ants go marching one by one, HURAHH HURAHH!..." I am one with the ants! And with my claws, and can protect and provide - meaning scare little mutants and take their snacks then feed them to my little friends!
3>Being a female of the spieces, do you have an emercency pair of pants, which are they and most of all why the heck does someone need an emergancy pair of pants?
Yes, I do have an emergency pair of pants. What is an emergency pair pants, well to me this is the explanation. Every person has pants that are classified as "favorites", and you wear those all the time. But they eventually get dirty, and you need to wash them. Then what do you wear - your emergency pants. The pants that are okay, not your favorite - but they will do for the time being until your "favorites" are clean again. Those emergencies very rarely need to be cleaned since you wear them for a couple hours here and there. I have them, and I rarely wear them.
4>Your on a raft alone in the ocean with Rudie, you have a fishing pole and bait. You dont like seafood, what would you do?
We all know that I love my wittle Rudie! HI RUDIE! (okay, I know he can't read, but I very well can't be rude and not say hello.) Anywho, back to my answer...what I would do is fish, feed Rudie, and as time goes by, I would little by little learn to suffer through eating a meal consisting of trout and other sorts of fish with Rudie. Plus, since I am stuck on a raft for that long, I will become hilusinate and after a while, I might think that I am a guest of Rudie's and he is serving fish for dinner - that way I would have to eat it, that way I don't make the host ( Rudie) feel bad. FISH FOR DINNER - FISH IT IS!
5>Descirbe to me your perfect day-dream car. You can make the whole entire thing up, make and model dont even need to exist, and tell why you decided to include certain features. Reality and the natural laws of physics and economics do not play in this.
My perfect dream car. Are you ready for this one?! My car would be a small car, and it would have a night sky camo look. Inside the car, it would be built like a shuttle, be controlled like a shuttle. This is because it can travel to space. I will be able to land on Jupiter and study the craters and the red hole. This car will have a great camera system to help take pictures of everything I find. It is a very diverse car. Space travel, can hover with no gravity, and has the ability to drive on a street like a normal car. The wheels are made for roads and space travel. And the radio - I can ask it to play what ever song I want when ever I want to hear it. And yes, that mean if I want to hear the same song over and over again for over a week straight - I can! WHO WANTS TO RIDE WITH ME?!
1. Leave Me a comment saying “interview me”

And the radio - I can ask it to play what ever song I want when ever I want to hear it. And yes, that mean if I want to hear the same song over and over again for over a week straight - I can! WHO WANTS TO RIDE WITH ME?!

First Week Comes to End
Many of you know that I started a new job this week. For those of you who are wondering what I am doing...here ya go. I am an Event Coordinator for E.J. Krause & Associates, Inc. I work in the Security Division located in the Coporate office in Bethesda (although it is called the DC office). We are the only office in the US, so when I call other offices I am calling Mexico, Japan, Germany, China...and other country's. Basically what my company does is plan and exicute Expositions and Conferences. Very interesting and exciting!
This week...it was my first week, so I spent it training with the girl I replaced. She was a very nice girl, my age, and quicky explained everything I need to know. Well, she tried. The afternoon of Thursday and all day Friday I was on my own. I like it. Right now I am getting used to everything. Barter Agreements, Contracts, writing formal invites to different government officials. This will be a huge learning curve for me, and I will be learning a lot from my boss.
Let me tell you about my boss. This man is very intelligent. He has been doing this for about 15 years, and just excells at it. I believe we will work well together, and he is going to teach me a great amount. I am ready to soak up all that knowledge!
On the fun side! So my first day there, the girl training me asked my if I have seen some movie that was on the Oscars List of Best Film. Now this is me we are talking about! I haven't seen ANY of those movies - nor do I really want to. If I am going to take two hours of my day to watch a movie - I want it to be entertaining to me. Anywho...so I had to answer this question that was asked, and since I am in a professional atmosphere now - I figured I should answer in a more professional manner. So I said: "no I havent, but I am dying to see it, is it good?" (yes, I lied!) But what I REALLY wanted to say was: Nope, but I've seen Nepolean Dynamite! Mom, you should be proud, I was a good girl!
Well, I hope I didn't bore you all too much. It has been a tiring week, but a good one for that matter. I am off, off to Office Depot - I need a brief case and a calender book with the whole year. I have two people's live I have to keep organized - mine and my bosses.
OHHHH Kyle! There is a spell check! haha - never seen that before! hahaha

My Kingdom Personality
Your distinct personality, The Dreamer-Minstrel might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. You can always see the "Silver Lining" to every dark and dreary cloud. Look at the bright side is your motto and understanding why everything happens for the best is your goal. You are the positive optimist of the world who provides the hope for all humankind. There is nothing so terrible that you can not find some good within it. On the positive side, you are spontaneous, charismatic, idealistic and empathic. On the negative side, you may be a sentimental dreamer who is emotionally impractical. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdom.

Excited
I start a new job in a little over a week, and I am extremely excited. However, I am also sad. Moving 8 months ago to a place where I didn't know anyone was a new adventure for me, and I was very fortunate to meet some really great people. I am very thankful that for the last 7 or so months I have had the opportunity to become really good friends with one of them and it saddens me that I won't get to see him everyday anymore. If I were to have a bad day, he would cheer me up and I would do the same for him. Yes, I will still be living in the same area that I am now - which is a major plus, and I will try to see my friends every week. But we all know that those every weeks go to every other week. So my good friend and I have made a pact to really work on keeping the friendship we have, which is completely awesome! As for the new job and a new adventure - I can't wait! My new supervisor seems to be such a nice guy and he will be good to work with. The odd thing - his name is Michael...how many mike's are their now. It seems where ever I go, my manager (or one of them) is named mike. My parents get sooo confused when I talk about a mike - it's great!

Ideas Please
Okay, so I was chatting with Kari last night about her wedding. I am giving her all the support that I can, being that she lives in Arizonia and I am in here in Virginia, so it is a bit challenging. I told her no bridal shower because I am not a fan of them, she completely agreed. To me it is just another way of getting presents - no thanks! I would rather use the money towards a long weekend for the two of us! As for the bachelorette party, I need some ideas. Like I mentioned, she lives in Arizona, her bridesmaid lives in California, and the other I believe lives in Rochester. So basically we all live all over the country. What do I do. She wants to have one, becuase that is a time where we all have fun together. I would do the whole spa thing, but she did that for a friend of hers and she got way too dehydrated and got way too sick - so that is out. I want it to be a fun, relaxing day...not a night out (that isn't her style). So I could use some suggestions. THANKS!

Happy Day
Today has been one of those days. I was in a really good mood, not sure why, but I was. Alarm went off at 5:30 and I wanted to shoot it, but instead I got up and showered like a good girl. Work started off typically, went in to correct the schedule (an every day event) then I went to get my five minutes of training in the floral department and the rest of the day I was on the front end running. Mike came into work four hours early, so I had my routine banter with him...always have to pick on the boss for some reason! Robert, Danny and Colleen Wegman's were in today - that is always fun to see them in there shaking hands with everyone. It is nice when they come, shows that they care even though we are miles away from where Wegmans originated. After their visit it went back to having fun. Today was busy, but not too bad, so we were able to have fun instead of run like chickens.
Oh by the way, my body HURTS. Another reason why today was fun. Well I have started to do some work out tapes again. Foolish thing to do, I know. So I did this work out tape yesterday and my body was sore today. So at work I tell my manager that I didn't want to move, my legs hurt. He laughed and asked why, I told him I did my Paula Abdual dance tape - he laughed harder. Not five minutes later did my friend Paul come up and ask me why my legs hurt. Now all the managers that I am friends with know I have a Paula Abdual dance tape - and they laugh when they see me. FUNNY! (although, it really is funny.) Well I did it again tonight after work, like a good girl, and yea, my legs - THEY STILL HURT!
That is all.

Sacrifices
I am understanding that we all need to make sacrifices when it comes to work, and that you don't always get what you "want" to do. This year there are numorous events that I need to attend and a couple events I really really really want to attend. One being the Indy 500 and the other being our family vacation at Lake George. Neither of these I can attend this year. I work in a field were weekends are required and along with that those holiday weekends we are extremely busy - meaning time off is frowned upon. Another event that I am having to give up is my cousin's wedding in Chicago on July 2nd, once again, that is a holiday weekend. Now don't get me wrong, I am very excited about all the weddings going on this year, and I am extremely happy to be in some of them. I am just disappointed that the time that I was counting on to see my brother were shot out. Indy 500 and vacation week was when I get to relax and catch up with Kyle. Now, I will see him but not really get to catch up with him. Although, I will get to dance with him! I have that to look forward to.
Well we all have to make sacrifices, and I understand that, I just wish I did't have to give up my brother time. It is all part of growing up and moving away - a choice I made.

| You Are 19 Years Old |
Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe. 13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world. 20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences. 30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more! 40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax. |
What Age Do You Act?
The Learning Continues!
Man, I feel like I have learned so very much in the last 20 minutes. I have beed catching up on all my blog reading. On Kyle's blog, I learned that I act like a 19 year old. Is this why people ask if I am 18?? So I still like to act like a kid at times, no harm in that. But I do this only around my close friends - it isn't a 24 hour event for me. For instance, when i am in the office with Mike, Darryl, or Matt I may hold my finger 2 centimeters away from them and say "i'm not touching you!" after they say "don't touch me" after accidentally bumping into them! That, my friend, is fun! Then off I go to read Tim's blog and I find out that this is my title: You Are the Very Gay Peppermint Patty! Softball is the huge tipoff here...As well as a "best friend" who loves to call her "sir" So I wish to be called Peppermint Patty when you address me please. Is this because I have a love for wearing my sweatshirt and jeans and playing with the guys?? So I don't wish to try to look cute all the time - that just isn't who I am.
Sean is 25 after his test, I would have to say he lied a WEEEEEE bit. If you all know sean, gooood 'ol sean, you know he isn't, what they call "25"! Now sean, you know I luv ya, but may be 15 or 16 sounds more like it! You are the guy that keeps the smile on others faces with your out of no where comments. And that is why we love ya. You are serious when the time calls for it, but you are also the fun, lovable sean.
Tim, as for you, hey you are the very gay winnie the pooh - what more can i say! Tim and Christopher Robbin sitting in the tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G first comes love then comes marriage, then...(okay, you know the song!)
Well I am off to take more funky quizes!
