My Kingdom Personality

Your distinct personality, The Dreamer-Minstrel might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. You can always see the "Silver Lining" to every dark and dreary cloud. Look at the bright side is your motto and understanding why everything happens for the best is your goal. You are the positive optimist of the world who provides the hope for all humankind. There is nothing so terrible that you can not find some good within it. On the positive side, you are spontaneous, charismatic, idealistic and empathic. On the negative side, you may be a sentimental dreamer who is emotionally impractical. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdom.

Excited

I start a new job in a little over a week, and I am extremely excited. However, I am also sad. Moving 8 months ago to a place where I didn't know anyone was a new adventure for me, and I was very fortunate to meet some really great people. I am very thankful that for the last 7 or so months I have had the opportunity to become really good friends with one of them and it saddens me that I won't get to see him everyday anymore. If I were to have a bad day, he would cheer me up and I would do the same for him. Yes, I will still be living in the same area that I am now - which is a major plus, and I will try to see my friends every week. But we all know that those every weeks go to every other week. So my good friend and I have made a pact to really work on keeping the friendship we have, which is completely awesome! As for the new job and a new adventure - I can't wait! My new supervisor seems to be such a nice guy and he will be good to work with. The odd thing - his name is Michael...how many mike's are their now. It seems where ever I go, my manager (or one of them) is named mike. My parents get sooo confused when I talk about a mike - it's great!

Ideas Please

Okay, so I was chatting with Kari last night about her wedding. I am giving her all the support that I can, being that she lives in Arizonia and I am in here in Virginia, so it is a bit challenging. I told her no bridal shower because I am not a fan of them, she completely agreed. To me it is just another way of getting presents - no thanks! I would rather use the money towards a long weekend for the two of us! As for the bachelorette party, I need some ideas. Like I mentioned, she lives in Arizona, her bridesmaid lives in California, and the other I believe lives in Rochester. So basically we all live all over the country. What do I do. She wants to have one, becuase that is a time where we all have fun together. I would do the whole spa thing, but she did that for a friend of hers and she got way too dehydrated and got way too sick - so that is out. I want it to be a fun, relaxing day...not a night out (that isn't her style). So I could use some suggestions. THANKS!

Happy Day

Today has been one of those days. I was in a really good mood, not sure why, but I was. Alarm went off at 5:30 and I wanted to shoot it, but instead I got up and showered like a good girl. Work started off typically, went in to correct the schedule (an every day event) then I went to get my five minutes of training in the floral department and the rest of the day I was on the front end running. Mike came into work four hours early, so I had my routine banter with him...always have to pick on the boss for some reason! Robert, Danny and Colleen Wegman's were in today - that is always fun to see them in there shaking hands with everyone. It is nice when they come, shows that they care even though we are miles away from where Wegmans originated. After their visit it went back to having fun. Today was busy, but not too bad, so we were able to have fun instead of run like chickens.

Oh by the way, my body HURTS. Another reason why today was fun. Well I have started to do some work out tapes again. Foolish thing to do, I know. So I did this work out tape yesterday and my body was sore today. So at work I tell my manager that I didn't want to move, my legs hurt. He laughed and asked why, I told him I did my Paula Abdual dance tape - he laughed harder. Not five minutes later did my friend Paul come up and ask me why my legs hurt. Now all the managers that I am friends with know I have a Paula Abdual dance tape - and they laugh when they see me. FUNNY! (although, it really is funny.) Well I did it again tonight after work, like a good girl, and yea, my legs - THEY STILL HURT!

That is all.

Sacrifices

I am understanding that we all need to make sacrifices when it comes to work, and that you don't always get what you "want" to do. This year there are numorous events that I need to attend and a couple events I really really really want to attend. One being the Indy 500 and the other being our family vacation at Lake George. Neither of these I can attend this year. I work in a field were weekends are required and along with that those holiday weekends we are extremely busy - meaning time off is frowned upon. Another event that I am having to give up is my cousin's wedding in Chicago on July 2nd, once again, that is a holiday weekend. Now don't get me wrong, I am very excited about all the weddings going on this year, and I am extremely happy to be in some of them. I am just disappointed that the time that I was counting on to see my brother were shot out. Indy 500 and vacation week was when I get to relax and catch up with Kyle. Now, I will see him but not really get to catch up with him. Although, I will get to dance with him! I have that to look forward to.
Well we all have to make sacrifices, and I understand that, I just wish I did't have to give up my brother time. It is all part of growing up and moving away - a choice I made.

You Are 19 Years Old
19

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.
13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.
20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.
30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!
40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

What Age Do You Act?

The Learning Continues!

Man, I feel like I have learned so very much in the last 20 minutes. I have beed catching up on all my blog reading. On Kyle's blog, I learned that I act like a 19 year old. Is this why people ask if I am 18?? So I still like to act like a kid at times, no harm in that. But I do this only around my close friends - it isn't a 24 hour event for me. For instance, when i am in the office with Mike, Darryl, or Matt I may hold my finger 2 centimeters away from them and say "i'm not touching you!" after they say "don't touch me" after accidentally bumping into them! That, my friend, is fun! Then off I go to read Tim's blog and I find out that this is my title: You Are the Very Gay Peppermint Patty! Softball is the huge tipoff here...As well as a "best friend" who loves to call her "sir" So I wish to be called Peppermint Patty when you address me please. Is this because I have a love for wearing my sweatshirt and jeans and playing with the guys?? So I don't wish to try to look cute all the time - that just isn't who I am.

Sean is 25 after his test, I would have to say he lied a WEEEEEE bit. If you all know sean, gooood 'ol sean, you know he isn't, what they call "25"! Now sean, you know I luv ya, but may be 15 or 16 sounds more like it! You are the guy that keeps the smile on others faces with your out of no where comments. And that is why we love ya. You are serious when the time calls for it, but you are also the fun, lovable sean.

Tim, as for you, hey you are the very gay winnie the pooh - what more can i say! Tim and Christopher Robbin sitting in the tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G first comes love then comes marriage, then...(okay, you know the song!)

Well I am off to take more funky quizes!
